#NowPlaying Naked by Leona Lewis

"Naked"

You could have left me on a firday
Would have loved to had least had the weekend
To go under and
To stay under
To get better
To stay better

But you had to pick a monday
Now I gotta go to work
And get through 5 days
And get through it
And if I can't do it
And no, I can't do it

[Chorus:]
There's a heartbreaking chill running t
Through my bones
I got my clothes but I can't really Feel them on
Oh no
Whatever I do
I'm naked
I'm naked
Without you

Can't go out, can't go home, can't go anywhere
Covered up but I'm still watching people stare
Oh no
Now what can I do
I'm naked
I'm naked
Without you

Tryin' focus to go un-noticed
But the harder I try I see them looking
And I can't do it no
They see through it yeah
They see through it

[Chorus]

Inside out
Still hiding
Outside I'm just too exposed
I know that I should let go

Ohh, that I miss you

[Chorus]

Now what can I do
I'm naked
I'm naked
Without you

(I love this song soooooo much, I can't help but listen to it everyday. A big thumb up for Leona Lewis' amazing voice and performance! <3)

Taking A Whole-Body Approach To Brain Health

Yes, like usual, to maintain a good brain health, these are the familiar stuff we have to do :

  • ·         Reduce Stress. If you’ve heard this advice from your doctor in relation to a physical condition, you now have double the reason to heed it. Research shows that stress causes synapses to malfunction.

Long-term stress can cause a neurotransmitter (a chemical that carries messages between nerve cells) called glutamate to build up in your synapses. If enough of it accumulates, it can become toxic and interfere with your memory and your ability to learn.

  • ·         Get Aerobic Exercise. Aerobic exercises can help you manage and resist stress, which is enough reason to make it part of your daily routine. But among its many other benefits, studies suggest that it stimulates the creation of new neurons and strengthens the connection between them.

  • ·         Eat A Diet Rich In Antioxidant Foods. If your physical health alone hasn’t inspired you to stock up on blueberries and spinach, do so for your mental health. Foods rich in antioxidants may help counteract effects of free radicals in your brain. (Free radicals are molecules that contain oxygen that attack cells throughout your body. They have been linked to cancer and heart disease, as well as brain deterioration.)

  • ·         Control High Blood Pressure and Diabetes. A study published in the journal Neurology in 2001 showed that the mental abilities of participants with high blood pressure or diabetes declined more rapidly than those of other participants. High blood pressure is a risk factor for a condition called ‘vascular dementia’, in which a series of tiny strokes can affect memory and other cognitive abilities.

However, early diagnosis and tight control of these conditions may help prevent some of the ill effects on your cognitive health.

NOW, ready for the steps that may be new on your to-do list?

  • ·         Get lots of mental stimulation. Ahhh, this is where the puzzles come in-finally!

You may be hard-pressed to find a scientist who would claim to know exactly how much mental stimulation the average adult of a certain age needs, or what types of mental activities are best for a certain population. The scientist is fairly young, and I guarantee you’ll hear a lot more about it in the years to come. But the general consensus is this: Mental stimulation of any kind can have positive effects on warding off memory problems and other declines in cognitive function. And lack of stimulation is a serious factor in mental decline.

So, how should you use your brain to get the maximum results? Only you can answer that question. That’s because whatever you do, it has to be enjoyable enough to truly stimulate you and to keep you coming back for more, day after day. We’re talking about running a mental marathon here-not winning a sprint. So you have my permission to read “War and Peace” or pull out your old calculus textbook, but only if that’s what you really want. Otherwise, I suggest you look for other types of activities that will keep you interested in the long term. (Anyone for Sudoku?)

The bottom line: if there’s a hobby you love that you haven’t made time for years, make time for it. If there’s an activity you’ve been meaning to do but have put on the back burner because it seems less important than folding laundry, do it. If there’s a subject you’ve been curious about for ages but haven’t had time to study, study it. And if anyone (including your conscience) pesters you about how you’re spending your time, memorize your new mantra: “my brain needs me.”

  • ·         Stay curious. This is an extension of the previous point. If you’ve buried your curiosity about the world around you because you haven’t had time to explore it since childhood, now’s the time-no matter how old you are or what your life circumstances are-to rediscover how curiosity feels.

#StoryTime Earth that Small, Dreams that Big.

I have a dream. It's to travel around the world before the age of 50.

I wanted to be bagpack-traveler. I might got caught with lots of troubles and hardships in another country, but I love it. That kind of adventurous life. I want to experience LIFE.

I want to learn and feel the cultures all around the globe. How different people do when they are given different kinds of situation. I can find beauty in every ethnic and religion, but I'm sure, Islam will always be the most beautiful religion of all.

Of course, I want to try all kinds of delicious food which I can't enjoy in my own country. To find delicious local halal food in another country might be hard, but I'll consider that as a challenge for me, more like a halal food-treasure hunting!

One can never forget about the beauty of music. I want to listen to other country's music. What kind of music do they play? What kind of songs do they sing? And what kind of language had become their mother tongue? I wish I can learn all that.

This is where I wanna spend my 'honeymoon' with my loved ones. I want a locker and key just for us to tie it on the bridge.

I always do. I want to fly away from here. I want to be a traveler of life. But before that, I wish I can do my hajj in Makkah first of all. Yes. I'd love to fly away from here!

Sunday 1 December 2013

#StoryTime This is a true one from my dream-1st December 2013, 4.12 a.m.

Omfg.....what kind of dream is this.....I'm so gonna draw this as my manga....!!! I woke up straight after that dream just now, and i can't sleep ady, I wanna share with u guys!!! Please comment after u guys read this...

The dream was abt a girl, who met a very nice and handsome young man. They both fell for each other but were too shy to show it.. Few years later, a kind of dangerous raw-meat eating virus spread like crazy. Idk how(u know dreams, weird things always happen), both of them got married and lived together and had a baby. The girl never realize that actually her husband is a zombie....

It was soooooo scary :'( and then one day, idk why, that guy turned into a zombie(during night)..the girl was soooo shocked, she hugged and cuddled her baby, and tried her very best to not make any noise at all(zombies are noise-sensitive). that guy's face and skin turned blue, very pale and his eyeballs turned completely white, his body was covered with raw wounds and cuts(omg it was so real i actually cried u know?). He was terrifying! :'(

The girl hugged her baby and hide under a table. That guy.....actually found them, because the baby felt uncomfortable and cried out loud. She hide her baby inside her shirt(sumbat? :O), and tied a mouth band around her baby's mouth(to prevent noise). The zombie approach closer and closer...the moment she thought she was gonna die...

The zombie resists himself. She can see their daddy's reflection in that zombie. The zombie is screaming hard, "Go! Go! Leave me!! Run away from here! Now!!!" The girl was so shocked.

She didn't leave...(omg she's crazy :O) She stayed and hugged that zombie. She tell him how much she loved him and the baby actually called him "daddy" right at that moment. His expression changed, he felt calmer, he pat both his wife and baby... like usual, bla bla they kissed bla bla.

After that night, the family lives together with a zombie father. Everytime he feels so eager to eat raw meat, he'll bite his mouth until it bleeds and he'll shout "meat! meat!!!"..then the girl actually have no idea what to do, so she grab his head firm and looked at him straight in his eyes, "darling, u want apple, apple, apple...." "m-m-m-ap-app-apple..apple..apple.."he said slowly and force himself to repeat that word...u know why she said apple? coz that's her husband's favorite food of all time...it was sooooo damn sad :'( huwaaaaaa

The dream actually ended tangled like that, and i woke up covered with tears. u know why? coz I'm actually playing that girl's role in my dream :'( I wanna write it down as long as I have memory abt it, I dun wanna forget this dream.. The dream taught me how dreadfully awesome is the love between a family, father and son, mother and son, husband and wife... uhuhuhu :'( no matter what happen, their hearts beat as one coz they are a blood-related family.

okay.. done writing. I think I'm gonna go continue crying there hahaha bye and thanks for reading.....errr....my dream
