#MyStories The Snowy Quest Part. 2

So here's the part 2 of my children adventure story, xD, enjoy!

Blast! a branch fell off and hit right beside where Astrid the bunny slept. This incident woke her almost instantly. Jamie the dragon woke up too. The sky was now filled with black heavy clouds and thunder can be heard everywhere. A sign of a huge storm is coming. Jamie became very panicked. Astrid suggested that they pack their belongings and try their best to find an inn in this thick wood, or at least a cage for a hideout. A few minutes later, they were all set up and went on their search. Unfortunately, the big droplets of rain poured down and strike the partner wet immediately. "This is a catastrophe! I should've gone home in the first place!" thought Jamie silently. Not long after the flight, Astrid spotted a mushroom house right before them. The hut was lit. Quickly, they went to the little house and knocked for help. A moment later, a troll opened the door, this made the three of them jumped when they saw each other. "You two must come in at once, you're all wet!" the kind troll said. Astrid didn't feel likely to accept a monster stranger's invitation but despite her friend sneezing non-stop and exhausted from a long flight, she decided to stay. "For only one night."she told herself. When they walked into the hut, they can smell something very awful coming from one of the rooms. The troll told them it was his food as he fed on amphibians. Jamie told Astrid, "oh I'm so lucky to not be an amphibian, well, even though I've got scales like frogs and lizards." This gave Astrid a tiny smirk across her face which helped her relaxed a bit. The troll then led them to a small room with warm carpets spread across the floor. "This will be your room." he gave them a towel, "and do dry yourself up so that you won't catch a cold." The two friends thanked the troll sincerely. Before they say good night, Astrid asked him, "Sir, may I know your name?" The troll smiled and claimed himself as Bud.

When Astrid and Jamie lay down for rest once again, Jamie broke off with a tiny whisper. "Astrid, you know what, it's funny when I hear the troll's name. You see, my dad's a mayor back in our town, and I often overheard him talking about problems in town. He once said that, there's a very dangerous kidnapper outside in the forest which he forbid me to play there last time. The kidnapper is a troll and the name is Bud." Astrid's jaw dropped open, her instinct is correct! She can already sensed something's wrong in the very first place. Who would ever wanted to live in such a thick forest if not culprits and refugees who wanna hide away from their chase due to the crime they committed. We must get away from here by any chance! So, Astrid guided Jamie towards the door of their room but it was too late, the door was locked from the outside!

Jamie's eyes were filled with terror and tears. Astrid's hands were trembling as well. She comforted her friend and promised to find a way out. They checked every inches in the room. Not even a tiny slit was found. They sat in disappointment, sighed and almost broke into tears. Soon, the two companions fell asleep after suffering from their fatigue.

“Chop...chop...chop...” the next sound that woke Astrid and Jamie up was the sound of someone chopping the food. This is bad, very very bad. The next second Astrid realized that they were in a room full of stinky skeletons of unknown creatures!

“Astrid... what should we do now...?” Jamie’s eyes were filled with tears and terror so much it made Astrid scared too. She patted him on the shoulder and assure him that they’ll be alright.

“Oh..look who’s awake now? Yum yum yum. You two sure are going to make me a delightful breakfast today, kinda too much though, but well the people say, ‘we have to eat breakfast like a king, eat lunch like a millionaire and eat dinner like a beggar’. Hahahahaha!” the troll laughed heartily, he was totally overjoyed for having two delicious prey for his breakfast today.
